Superintendent Seigrid 'Ziggy' Robeson is planning to be at Ripon Unified for the next four years.

She recently signed an amendment to her original contract that keeps her in the top administrative position through June 30, 2022.

Her original terms went from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2021.

Trustees, based on a positive review of Robeson's efforts during that span, agreed to extend length of her pact by one more year.

"I want to thank the board for showing confidence in me," she said at the June 25 meeting.

Robeson came to RUSD in 2014. She served as principal at Colony Oak before her appointment as superintendent.

Louise Nan was superintendent during the time when district voters approved Measure G —  this bond measure paved the way for renovations at Weston and Colony Oak elementary schools — but resigned that summer for family reasons. Bill Draa, a retired superintendent from nearby Banta School, took over in the interim and was actually appointed superintendent of RUSD for the short term prior to Robeson.

Her board-amended contract indicates that she'll work 226 days a year and, because of her travel throughout San Joaquin County on a daily basis, will be provided a yearly vehicle stipend of $1,000 a year.

Board President Chad Huskey was required to read out the amended contract aloud during the open session.
