It’s a fundraiser to assist the homeless students of the Manteca Unified School District.

On Friday, Feb. 15, the Commons at Union Ranch is hosting the “I love you” Valentine’s dinner.

This senior-living community is located at 2241 N. Union Road.

The Valentine’s dinner event is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will kick off with cocktails beforehand.

Tickets for the drawing of prizes along with a candy-gram sales will also be made available, according to Deanna de Dios, who handles sales for The Common.

Cost for this special event  is $10 per person. Formal attire is recommended.

Proceeds will go towards the Women of Woodbridge’s MUSD Homeless Children’s Fund.

The non-profit group from nearby Del Webb active adult community has helped the hundreds of youngsters who are classified as homeless – that’s based on having no permanent address – of the local school district over the years by generously giving money in helping provide clothing, shoes, hygiene items, backpacks and other school materials.

The “I love you” Valentine’s dinner will help support this cause.

Those looking to attend are asked to RSVP by Friday, Feb. 8.
