For Manteca Care & Rehab residents

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, residents of the Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center will not have their annual holiday gathering this year.

They'll still celebrate Christmas come Dec. 24 in the safety of their room and the promise of items from their wish list.

Enter Precision Automotive at 475 Moffat Blvd.

Winner of the 2019 AAA Top Auto Shop Award is again hosting the Giving Tree — residents recently jotted down three items on their wish-list ornament.

"We have a resident who is a Dallas Cowboys (football) fan and another who is a San Francisco 49ers fan. Both want (Christmas gift items) with their team logos," said Debbie Robles, who is the longtime activities director for the local care home.

Those stopping by Precision Automotive between now and the next few weeks can help provide a very merry Christmas for someone at Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center.

According to Assistant Activities Director Stephanie Ybarra, 79 scrolls were placed on the Giving Tree.

All it takes is for that Secret Santa to select and purchase what's on the wish-list "bulb" on the Christmas tree.

They can always give more than what's listed.

This marks the 12th year of Precision Automotive hosting the Giving Tree program benefiting Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Raj Lal of Precision Automotive continued that tradition after taking over from the previous owner in recent years.
