It may have been the ending of their elementary education.
But for the students of Golden West Elementary, the 2018 promotion ceremony Tuesday night in their school multipurpose room was the beginning of something new.
With Lynze Costa providing the introductions and leading the gathered friends and family through the Pledge of Allegiance, Sherie Gates and Sandy del Mundo delivered the welcome remarks for the evening.
Delivering speeches were Lynze Costa (Never Give Up), Alondra Telles (Memories) and Marcela Navarro (Looking Back).
The class was accepted by Manteca Unified Trustees Kathy Howe, Evelyn Moore and Michael Seeyle, and diplomas were handed out by both district and school site staff.
