A flurry of grand openings for new dining and drinking options are planned for this month in Manteca.

*Velly Pizza, 2064 Crestwood Avenue, down from Fat Burger and behind the ARCO station and Starbucks, has a grand opening set for Saturday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m.

*Nekter Juice Bar, 165 Commerce Ave., south of the McDonald’s, has a grand opening planned for Saturday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m.

*Loma Brewery, on the corner of Daniels Street and Milo Candi Drive by the Big League Dreams sports complex, has scheduled a grand opening for Friday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m.

They join Sha-Sha’s Sweets that celebrated its grand opening late last month at 118 N. Maple Ave in downtown down the street from the post office.

Also preparing to open is the Chipotle Kitchen and the Starbucks next door in the Marketplace at Main center that will be anchored by the new Save Mart at Atherton Drive and South Main.

A Cajun Crackin’ seafood restaurant is also preparing to open at The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley.

The three concerns with grand openings later this month all are currently in “soft opening” mode while they get staff and service up to speed.

Velly Pizza is open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. offering pizza, gourmet pastas, and salads.

Loma Brewery offers its own craft beers as well as shared plates, tacos, salads, sandwiches, and burgers along with a kids’ menu.

Manteca Nékter is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. as well as 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays at the 1,120-square-foot location.

Nékter offers a wide array of fresh and healthy options, including handcrafted smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and functional cleanses.

The Aug. 29 Nékter celebration from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. will feature exclusive grand opening offers, including $5 small smoothies available all day.

Additionally, the first 100 guests who make a purchase of $15 or more will receive a free signature Nékter tote bag.

Owner Simran Kaur Khinda is both an entrepreneur and a veterinary student dedicated to creating a business that promotes healthier lifestyles while becoming a meaningful part of the local community.

“Manteca has given so much to me, and this is my opportunity to give something meaningful back,” Kinda said. “My goal is for Nékter to become more than a juice bar I want it to be a place where our community comes together to embrace healthier living, support one another, and create lasting connections.”
