Pete Paulsen’s Hot Rod Party is back.
The event benefiting his Bikes for Kids program – a non-profit that provides refurbished donated bicycles to needy families during the holidays – will take place at Paulsen Ranch, 1504 W. Bowman Road, French Camp, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9.
Included will be all-years American made or powered vehicles on display.
General admission is $10 (children 10 and under are free), $5 for seniors and military.
Paulsen decided this year to bring back the legendary Hot Rod Part for its 32nd year.
His special guests will be car customizer John D’Agostino, local builder Jerry Sezar, and San Diego pinup Hot Rod Holly.
Guest DJ will be Wyatt Bowman playing Rock’ N Roll music.
The Hot Rod Party will also feature Tom “The Giant” Nye, vendors, food from Fagundes Meats, and the world-famous hotdogs.
Cost for those looking to enter their vehicle into the car show is $35 (early registration) and $45 (day of the event). Log on to www.petepaulsen.com.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Paulsen is a former circle track racer with numerous track championships under his belt. He’s the former owner of the Delta Speedway in Stockton and a member of the Grand National Roadster Show’s Hall of Fame.
His events have raised over $100,000 for charities such as Mary Graham Children’s Cancer Foundation, Haven of Peace, St. Joseph’s cancer center, Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation, French Camp Elementary School, the local Boys & Girls Club, and STARS, to name a few.
Paulsen has donated over 500 donated bikes to the cause since 2018. His goal this year is to have 200 bicycles available in time for the annual Bikes for Kids free giveaway on Dec. 10.
