The Lathrop Christmas Tree Lighting is at the Lathrop Community Center with choral performances, refreshments and a special visitor from the North Pole on Saturday, Dec. 1. The free event kicks off at 6:30 p.m.  Seats go quick, doors open at 6 p.m.  

LATHROP CHRISTMAS PARADE: “Rejoice, its Christmas” is this year’s theme for the annual Lathrop Christmas Parade taking place on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Line the streets with your family and friends.  The parade will start promptly at 11 a.m. and utilize 5th, Thompson, Cambridge, and J Streets.   Enjoy floats, marching bands, dancers, and some new surprises while we welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus.

LATHROP HOLIDAY LIGHT CONTEST: It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas with the City of Lathrop’s city-wide Holiday Light contest. As you decorate your home and yard with sparkling and dazzling lights take a moment to enter your own home or nominate your neighbors.  

Participants will receive a Holiday Light Contest yard sign to post in there yard with first, second, and third place homes being recognized.  All entries must be submitted to the Lathrop Generations (450 Spartan Way) or Lathrop Community Center (15557 Firth Street) by Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. Judging will take place the week of Dec. 17. All entrees are free.
