The City of Ripon’s Department of Planning & Economic recently received a request to remodel a single-family home into a place of business.

The project referral calls for converting the building at 124 N. Locust Ave. – zoned in the Central Business District – to be converted into a pet grooming business.

“This use is permissible in this zone and will be required to meet all commercial development requirements including sidewalk and adequate parking,” said the City of Ripon in the Nov. 6 letter.

All appropriate comments/conditions of approval must be received by the Planning Department no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30.
