Mother Nature is cooperating for the South County’s final street fair of 2026 — Main Street Day in downtown Ripon — on Saturday. Oct. 17.
The forecast calls for a high of 94 degrees for the 41st annual free-entry event hosted by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce. It is one of Ripon's favorite annual traditions.
It brings the community together for a day of shopping, entertainment, food, and family-friendly activities.
Among the highlights of Main Street Day:
*Classic Car Show: A downtown display of classic cars and vehicles for car enthusiasts of all ages.
*Antique Faire and Shopping: Browse antiques, collectibles, handmade goods, and merchandise from a variety of vendors while supporting local businesses.
*Food Vendors: Enjoy a wide selection of food, snacks, and treats throughout the event.
*Live Entertainment: Music and entertainment throughout the day.
*Kids' Activities: Family-friendly fun, including the Calvary Kids' Zone and FFA petting zoo.
*Pet Costume Parade: A fun opportunity for residents to show off their costumed pets.
*Community Activities: The JROTC Color Run, library book sale, and other activities hosted by local organizations.
Start the day with pancakes

It will take place Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m.
The breakfast menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, and beverages.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children 7 to 12, and free for children 6 and under.
Proceeds support the Lions Club's community service projects, scholarships, and youth programs.
Why Main Street Day matters
“Main Street Day is more than an annual event. It is an opportunity to celebrate Ripon's small-town character, support local businesses, and bring neighbors together,” noted Ripon Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Kelly Donohue.
“The event showcases the organizations, volunteers, and businesses that make our community special.”
“We encourage everyone to spend the day downtown, explore the shops, visit the vendors, enjoy the entertainment, and experience everything Ripon has to offer.”
