MANTECA FARMERS MARKET
Cool down this Tuesday during Market & Music
farmers market 1

The coolest place to be Tuesday in Manteca when the high is expected to hit 101 degrees is at the Market & Music at Library Park between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Here’s why:

*The interactive water play feature will be turned on for kids to enjoy.

*The cool sounds of the Bourbon Street Blues Band out of Modesto will be playing.

*Local wine and the craft beer of the week will be available.

*There’s no need to cook in a hot kitchen as food trucks and other food purveyors are selling their wares that can be enjoyed under the expansive shade of the park’s giant sycamore trees that provide additional relief as evening draws near thanks to cooling Delta breezes.

Manteca Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joann Beattie noted the inaugural market last week of the 2018 Market & Music that runs through the end of July “was a huge success” with a larger crowd than the first week last year.

Besides six produce vendors and those selling food-related products such as olive oil and specialty items there are a host of other vendors including the Sunrise Kiwanis promoting the Manteca centennial pumpkin growing contest.

New this year to the downtown market is a corn hole game, free face painting, and the offering of different craft beers each week. That is in addition to local wine. There will also be two rocks hidden in Library Park with those finding them receiving a certificate for $5 worth of produce

Food vendors include Fagundes, pizza, and food trucks.
