‘The Shoutout’ is an original play by the Manteca High Theatre Production.

“(It’s) a student-written and composed mini-musical,” instructor Dawn Coyan said.

She’ll yield to the students for tonight’s and Saturday night’s 7 o’clock performances of ‘The Shoutout’ at the Mulvihill Theater at 450 E. Yosemite Ave.

Tickets are $5.

Bailey Hutchens is the writer of the book for the musical as well as the director of the play, according to Coyan.

Noah Gonzales is the composer and the musical director.

The MHS Theatre Production just wrapped up ‘Rehearsal for Murder’ last week.

As for upcoming events, Coyan noted that ‘The Addams Family’ will be the spring musical scheduled April 4-6.

“There will be another production (on March 7-8) before that,” she added.
