Graduation at Manteca Unified's be.tech Career Academy High School was more about quality rather than quantity. That's according to counselor Larry Machado, who had the honor of announcing the names of those in the graduating class. All told, 28 were recognized during the 45-minute ceremony held in the be.tech plaza on Thursday. The school district has five comprehensive high schools (Manteca, East Union, Sierra, Lathrop, and Weston Ranch) as well as two continuation schools (Calla and New Vision) in addition to be.tech that is the eighth Manteca Unified high school campous. This special event for the Class of 2019 kicked off with Crystal Coronel leading in the Pledge of Allegiance and Principal Carey Simoni announcing the President's Award for Education Achievement. Besides Coronel, Jerrett Gilmer (Thank You Message), Colton Cowan (A New Perspective), and Asiah Scott (The Next Chapter) were the program's other student speakers. Industrial Arts instructor Michael Patterson, in addition, presented the Career Technical Education Achievement Award winners. Members of the Class of 2019 are as follow: Marci Aguilar, Emily Alford, Isaiah Arango, Ritchie Blase, Jessica Boyd, Avleen Brar, Faith Burgos, Christopher Cadle, Crystal Coronel, Colton Cowan, Jarrett Gilmer, Luis Gonzalez, Tristan Hofstad, Richard Johnson Jr., Joshua Knott. Laica Marte, Lorenzo Martinez, Bradley McCord, Robert Peters Reasoner, Ayrikha Romero Cavanaugh, Veronika Romero Cavanaugh, Oren Ross, Keelan Saunders, Asiah Scott, Prabhjot Singh, Alexander Stock, Demitrius Valle-Daigle, Natalie Webb, and Ronald White.
