Ripon address ambulance staffing on temporary basis

The Ripon Consolidated Fire District’s ambulance service was back in operation.

That announcement came three days after services were temporarily halted due to staffing shortages.

“We have successfully addressed the staffing issue on a temporary basis and are pleased to announce that full daily ambulance service has been restored effective immediately,” RCFD announced Sunday via social media.

Included was a team of four consisting of three EMTs and one paramedic, being ready to respond to emergencies.

“We recognize the vital importance of uninterrupted emergency medical response and apologize for any concern this may have caused,” said RCFD, which earlier informed the public that ambulance service disruption as of July 20.

Local firefighters kept the public updated throughout the weekend.

“The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We remain committed to providing prompt, reliable emergency medical response,” RCFD added.
