The City of Ripon is looking for a representative to serve on the San Joaquin County Council of Aging.
The position is open to Ripon residents who have demonstrated an interest in senior matters.
Those interested must be age 18 and older.
The position – a three-year term – calls for this representative to provide guidance, education, and advocacy on issues related to older adults.
According to the City of Ripon, the Commission serves as an advisory body on aging issues to the SJC Board of Supervisors and the County Department of Aging and Community Services.
Regular meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at the San Joaquin County Office of Education-Wentworth Education Center, 2707 Transworld Dr., Stockton, beginning at 12:45 p.m. (these meetings usually last less than two hours).
Applications are available at Ripon City Hall, 259 N. Wilma Ave., from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or can be downloaded at www.cityofripon.org/commissions.
