Howard Raymond Tinnin Jr., 80, passed away on October 4, 2026. Born on May 26, 1946, Howard was a lifelong resident of Manteca, California, where he built a life grounded in family and hard work.

Howard graduated from Manteca High School in 1964. Shortly after high school, in 1965, he married the love of his life, Sally. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage, creating a life marked by loyalty, laughter, companionship, and countless memories. They enjoyed traveling together, spending time side by side, and relaxing at home with their favorite television programs.  Howard began his working career with the railroad before deciding to venture out on his own opening up, Tinnin Tee’s. Located on Yosemite Avenue in the heart of Manteca, the business became a familiar and trusted part of the community, serving families and businesses throughout the Central Valley. Through determination, craftsmanship, and a genuine connection with people, Howard built more than a business. He built relationships, earned the trust of his customers, and left his mark on the community he proudly called home. Above all, Howard was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steadfast provider who made sure his family was cared for. Howard had a fun-loving spirit, a quick wit, and a perfectly timed sarcastic remark that made him unmistakably himself. He enjoyed attending sporting events and treasured the time he spent surrounded by family.

Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sally Tinnin; his children, Casey Tinnin (Dayna) and Dyanne Baird (Jeff); his nine grandchildren, including CJ, Victoria, Kayla, Raymond, Alyson, Adam, Raymond, and Alex; his two great-grandchildren, Theodore and Oliver; and his sister, Linda. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brock, and his granddaughter, Kristeena.

Howard will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his devotion to his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
