Carlos Ochoa, beloved husband, father, uncle ,grandfather and "Pops" passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. Carlos was born on December 10, 1941 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. He came to the United States in 1962 and lived in Escalon and Lathrop before making Manteca his longtime home in 1971 where he and his wife Lupe raised four children. Carlos was always a great provider working for companies like Leprino Foods and Oxy. Many people may remember Carlos for is his love of sports and coaching. He coached for Manteca Little League, Manteca Babe Ruth, and Manteca Cowboys and is how he became "Pops" to many. He was a diehard, San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers fan.
Carlos loved to sing, and if you were ever fortunate enough to be at one of the family gatherings, you more than likely heard him belt out a song or two. He was very family oriented and his love for his family showed in everything he did. Carlos is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Maria Guadalupe and his son Carlos. He is survived by three children, Martha Ochoa Artherton (Wes), Rick Ochoa (Nicole), Norma Ochoa (Paul), ten grandchildren, Justin , Andrew, Noelle, Jaxyn, Vanessa, Stephen, Jake, Isabella, Michael and David, and four great grandchildren.
