The Ripon Parks & Recreation Department is offering another Dog Training class.
This one is scheduled to begin on March 1 at Mavis Stouffer Park – in the lower area in the back of the park – from 10 to 11 a.m.
The park is located at 1000 Stouffer St.
Dog Training class would be held on the ensuing Wednesdays: March 8 (10-11 a.m.), March 15 (10-11 a.m.), March 22 (10-11 a.m.), and March 29 (10-11 a.m.).
Cost is $140.
All classes will be taught by a “Bone-a-Fide” dog trainer, according to Parks & Rec on the City of Ripon website (www.cityofripon.org/recreation).
A minimum of four dogs will need to be registered before the Feb. 22 deadline in order to run a class
The goal is for each dog to have good manners around people along with other dogs, and to obey his or her owner during distracting situations.
Children age 10 or older can be involved but must be able to handle and control their dog coupled with having a parent in attendance.
In addition, all dogs will be required to be five months or older and have all their shots (rabies, distemper, and parvo).
