Ripon Unified board recognizes honor band students

The Ripon Unified school board will meet tonight in the City of Ripon Council Chambers beginning at 7 p.m.

Superintendent Ziggy Robeson will honor the recent participants of the San Joaquin County Office of Education’s High School and Middle School Honor Concerts.

Included were Ripon High students’ Kaleb Hinrichsen, Gabrielle Martin, Anna Boersma, Annamarie Wood, Diamond Ramon, Shannon Johnson, Nicole Previd, Shae Lockard, Taryn Escola, Nathaniel de la O, Landon Stevens and Zander Pittson from the Choir; Amelia Bacay and Joshua Atilano in the Band; Otto Kellner, Ashlin Hartly, Sanjana Sivakumar and Garret Castro in the Orchestra.

Middle School participants consisted of Leighton Bridges (Euphonium), Colony Oak; Kira Basinal (Baritone Saxophone), Parkview Elementary; Kylie Basinal (Flute), Parkview Elementary; and Emerson ‘Emy’ Reeves (Bass Clarinet), Parkview Elementary.

Trustees will also:

  • Recognize the winners of the second-ever RUSD Speech Contest.
  • Watch a presentation on the City of Ripon Residential Growth 2019 by Planning Director Ken Zuidervaart.
  • Approve the Second Interim Report for the Fiscal Year 2019-2020.
  • Approve the Request for Proposals regarding the updated Facilities Master Plan Services.
