River Road gas station back before Ripon planners on Monday

A few months ago, the Ripon Planning Commission opted not to approve the River Road / North Ripon Road Gas Station project.

According to Planning Director Zuidervaart, the applicant "may be withdrawing their application and resubmitting another with a different site plan and different uses," he said.

That's part of the special meeting of the Planning Commission scheduled at 6 p.m. Monday via live streaming -- available at www.cityofripon.org by clicking on to the "Watch a Meeting" link.

At the July 20 meeting, Commissioners reviewed the Gas Station / Convenience Market project at 112 W. River Road. No action was taken on the proposed project at the time.

Public safety and location raised enough concerns for the Planning Commission to not pursue the project on a 1.09 acre parcel.

Zuidervaart added back then that the applicant could put in for an appeal.

Commissioners, in addition, will look to approve the variance request for 1202 Robert Ave., in the Single Family Residential Custom zoning district.
