StocktonCon Summer returns next month.

The two-day pop culture convention will be held on the weekend of July 8-9 at the Stockton Arena.

Online presales are currently underway. Cost is $15 one day (plus fees) and $20 for both days (plus fees). Children age 12 and under accompanied by a paid adult will be admitted for free.

Special guests include Edward James Olmos (Miami Vice, Stand and Deliver), Thomas Ian Nicholas (Rookie of the Year, American Pie), Sgt. Slaughter (retired WWE pro wrestler, voice actor), Steve Downes (Master Chief voice in Halo video), Emilio Rivera (Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C.), Billy West (Space Jam, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Futurama voice actor), Lauren Tom (The Joy Luck Club, Futurama voice actor), and Phillip LaMarr (Mad TV, Pulp Fiction, voice of Green Lantern in Justice League), to name a few.

StocktonCon Summer will once again feature plenty of vendor booths on the main floor, offering collectibles such as comic books, action figures, toys, card games, Funko Pops, and video games.

Many fans will show up dressed in costumes of their favorite characters on both days.

StocktonCon is now scheduled twice a year – StocktonCon Winter was held in February.

Mike Millerick organized the first-ever event in 2012 at the University of the Pacific’s Spanos Center.

Thanks to the overwhelming success of that inaugural one-day showing, StocktonCon relocated to the bigger Stockton Arena venue that following year while becoming a weekend event.

As always, a portion of the proceeds from StocktonCon are earmarked for local charities.

Cost at the door is $23 (plus fees) for one day, $33 (plus fees) for both days.
