u RIPON WOMEN’S AUXILIARY VFW: The Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post #1051 will be hosting their annual Luau on Saturday July 13. Tickets are available for $10 each .The evening will include pulled pork and chicken Teriyaki dinner, a professional Hula dancer, DJ music and dancing , plus a dunk tank .Drinks from 4 to 6 p.m. and dinner served from 6 to 7 p..m . Guests are welcome and all proceeds go to the brave men and women

serving our country .

u VENDORS: The City of Manteca is again hosting an Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4, from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at Big League Dreams. The city is seeking sponsors and vendor booths for the event, those interested should call Brandy Clark at 456-8623.  Vendor booths are $100.

u THREE RIVERS INDIAN LODGE: The 36th annual Three Rivers Indian Lodge Pow Wow takes place Friday, July 5, starting at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 6, starting at noon; and Sunday, July 7, starting at 10 a.m. at 13505 Union Road between Lathrop Road and Lovelace Road. It includes native arts and crafts, drummers, dancers, and food. Admission to the grounds s is free. For more information call 858-2421.
