Early registration deadline is June 5 to save $5 for the San Joaquin Bike Fest.

You can join hundreds of families and singles for this fun, family tradition on Saturday, June 15, at the DeRosa University Center at University of Pacific, 901 Presidents Drive, Stockton.

Four scenic bicycle routes begin and end at the University, offering choices of routes from 1.5, 7.4, 8.2 and 9.4  miles (link all for a 25 mile+ ride).  A Kid’s Safety Village and short “activities course” will make a fun diversion for kids from 2 years and up, as well as novice riders.  Music, BBQ, soft drinks to all participants (and, a beer garden, offering beer for purchase by Stockton’s famed Valley Brew) will make the event more festive.  Come in “1980’s retro costumes” if you like, enjoy a display of classic 1980s and retro bikes, and enjoy the spectacle.

Registration opens at 7 a.m.; rides begin at 9 and 9:30 a.m. with music by the band ‘Pushers and Thieves’, food and the beer garden open for action at 11 a.m.; the event concludes at 3 p.m.

Proceeds support the Emergency Food Bank’s nutrition programs and the educational programs of the San Joaquin Bicycle Coalition; so you help end hunger in Stockton & San Joaquin County, and, educate motorists and cyclists about safe bike travel.

Volunteers are also needed, and receive a cool T-shirt, snacks and drinks.
