The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1051 will host a VA mobile clinic on Thursday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The clinic will provide veterans with spot check-ups and a group of service officers will answer questions or hear complaints regarding health care and other issues.

“It’s another valuable asset that the VA provides to veterans,” Post 1051 Commander Tracy Crawford said. “This is one way for the VA to bring services out to the different posts.”

The California Telephone Access Program will also have representatives on site handing out free adaptive telephones to veterans and those that qualify.

Two medical providers from the VA Pal Alto Health Care System will sign prescriptions for veterans who want a phone.

Any non-veteran interested in a phone will need a signed prescription from their private medical physician.

The form can be obtained at the California Telephone Access Program’s website: http://ddtp.cpuc.ca.gov.

The mobile clinic will also assist those veterans interested in enlisting in the VA Health Care System.

VFW Post 1051 is located at 12455 West Ripon Road in Ripon. For more information, contact (209) 599-6815.
