A 35-year-old Las Vegas woman was arrested by Ripon police shortly before midnight Monday driving a car that had been reported stolen from that gambling center, according to First Sergeant Steve Merchant.

Ripon officers had conducted a traffic stop on a white 2012 Chevy Cruz that dispatchers had just broadcast information that the Las Vegas Metro PD had previously identified as stolen from a rental car operation. The woman was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp and charged with auto theft, police said.
