Christopher Berlin Gardner, of Lathrop, CA, passed away on July 1, 2012 at the age of 22. Christopher was born on September 22, 1989 in San Jose, CA and lived in Lathrop for 14 years. He was a graduate of Sierra High School in Manteca and then from Abrams College in Modesto. During high school he completed four years of JROTC, cross country running and track and field. He was an Eagle Scout and part of the Order of the Arrow and the Venture Crew in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 422, as well as the assistant swim coach at Lathrop High School. He was also starting a career as an EMT and volunteered to do work for the Manteca and Lathrop communities.

Christopher is survived by a large, loving family. His parents Gilbert and Cheryl Gardner, his fiance Rebekah Doran, his surviving grandparents Joyce Fitzpatrick, John Marseline, Mike Fitzpatirck, and Rosemary Marseline and his preceded grandparents Hal Gardner, Irene Gardner, and Darlene Gardner, his brother Stephan Gardner and sister Alyssa Gardner, and his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service for Christopher will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Emory Hall, 1028 West Yosemite Avenue in Manteca. Donations may be made to a service organization of your choice in Chris's name. Funeral arrangements are being handled through Park View Funeral Home in Manteca. Please, no flowers.
