Denise Elaine Greenlee, 42, of Manteca, passed away peacefully after losing her battle with cancer. Denise was a dedicated employee at the Manteca Bulletin newspaper for 6 ½ years. She was surrounded by friends and family until the end. She will be missed by all of us.

Denise was known for her “Tough Girl” exterior, but was “Sweet and Spicy” as well.  She was a hard worker and played hard too. She was given the nickname “Pocahontas” back in 1997 and it stuck. She loved Native American art and unicorns and took care of her mother, Marie, ill with Parkinson’s disease.

She is survived by her parents, Marie Rinne of Manteca and Leroy and Cheryl Greenlee of Lodi; her sister Melissa (Robert) Ford; brother Jesse Greenlee; her children, Matthew, Joseph, Julia, and Andrew Greenlee, David James and Raymond Maynard; two grandchildren, Isabella and Joseph, and also many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family invites you to celebrate Denise’s life. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 17, at 2 p.m. at the Sequoia Heights Baptist Church, 1050 S. Union Road at Wawona in Manteca. Arrangements were handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca.
