Donald Mickey “Pete” Peterson, 84, entered into rest on March 5, 2017 in Manteca, CA. He was born in Hawthorne, Nevada on July 5, 1932.
   Pete was a resident of Manteca for over 37 years and was a devoted member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. 
   Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife of 64 years, Annie Lavern Peterson.  Donald and Annie had six children, Pamela Carraher, Steven Peterson, David Peterson (deceased), Donald Peterson, Scott Peterson and John Peterson. He was blessed by 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
   Pete began a career in government service in Hawthorne, Nevada and transferred to the Defense Logistics Agency as a Quality Control Specialist in Tracy, CA before retiring in 1990.   Pete was endlessly devoted to family which always came first. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially when it came to fishing, hunting, boating and camping. Pete will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his warm welcoming smile, and his unconditional love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Peterson Family.  A memorial vigil will be on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA.  A memorial mass will be on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 E. North St., Manteca. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Anthony’s School Memorial Fund, 323 N.
