Elbert Wayne Bolton passed away on Wednesday, July 1, at his home in Escalon. He was 77 years old.

Wayne worked in the dairies for many years, and was a veteran of the Army serving from 1950 - 1953.  He was a long-time member at the Escalon Church of Christ.  He was a kind and thoughtful man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help. He was preceded in death by his loving wife who is waiting with open arms, Benie. They were married for 56 years before she passed away on November 26, 2008.

Wayne is survived by his three children, Steve Bolton of Escalon, Donna Walker of Arnold, and Betty Jo Clark of Escalon; his siblings Rusty Bolton of Visalia, Herb Bolton of Santa Maria, Royce Bolton of Waco, Texas, and Dorris Denny of Amarillo Texas; his grandchildren, Amanda Hurst of Madera, Alyssa Waite of Arnold, and Stacie Walker, also of Arnold, as well as his 2 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar & Joise Bolton, his wife and his two grandchildren, Royce Clark and Cris Clark, both of Escalon.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery 28320 E. River Rd. in Escalon.
