Elisabeth Carrillo, 62, entered into rest on January 6, 2011 in Manteca, CA. She was born on April 6, 1948 in Germany to the late Albert and Elsa Hauser. She has been a resident of Manteca for 43 years.

Mrs. Carrillo is survived by her husband of 16 years, Daniel Carrillo. She has two sons, Floyd James Stokes of Manteca and Michael Eric Stokes of Idaho. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren: Sarah Ann Stokes, Andrew James Stokes, Amy Elisabeth Stokes, Kimberly Martha Stokes, Michael Eric Stokes II, Lacey Marie Stokes, Krystal Lynn Stokes, Melanie Elaine Stokes, Taylor Elisabeth Kay Stokes, Renika Rodriguez, and Esteban Escebedo. She has three siblings: Eric Hauser, Elvera Gulden and Rudy Hauser, all of Germany. In addition, Elisabeth is survived by her former husband of 17 years, Floyd Stokes.

While raising her children, Elisabeth worked part-time at Manteca Unified School District for 8 years in the food service department, and at Amtex for over 6 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church-Ripon ward for many years. She enjoyed listening to German music as well as Mexican music. She loved comedy, the outdoors, traveling, and fishing. She was passionate about her grandchildren; she loved every moment she spent with them. Her favorite time of the year was Halloween – the laughter of her grandchildren, the picking out of costumes, and the fun of opening candy after a night of trick or treating was the perfect way to be a carefree, fun-loving grandma. She had a huge heart for animals, always feeding and rescuing strays. She loved her own animals as if they were her children; she was always devoted to her cats and adored her dogs Jasper and Dollar. Elisabeth loved God and loved life. She was a great listener and loved to be around people. She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and her friendly attitude towards others.
