Eric Carl Olson passed away on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 in the peacefulness of the place he called home for over 30 years.  Eric was born on July 12, 1957, in Tracy, California.

A graduate of Manteca High he was a star football player and excelled in his artwork, winning many awards.  Eric was the son of George and Correne Olson, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Carter, Mr. Carl Olson and Mr. and Mrs. William Lankford, who all preceded him in death.  Eric is survived by his cherished love of 25 years, Angie Medford, and their dogs Brassy Jack and Miss Holly.  He was a loving brother of Glenn Olson and his wife Susan, his niece Angelina Page, he dearly loved and spent much time with her and her sister Ireland Page, and his two nephews Nick McCreerey (even though he is a Michigan State fan) and Wesley Page.

Eric lived most of his life in Manteca.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He was a fan of Rock and Roll, The Blues and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  He loved Harleys and could build one from the frame up. He reveled in woodworking and cabinetry and built the very house he lived in.  Eric had a wonderful sense of humor, and a deeply heartfelt laugh.  Eric will be soulfully missed by his family and friends.  Rest in peace, dear Eric.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made by way of donation in Eric’s name to AA Manteca Fellowship, 322 E. Yosemite Ave. Manteca, CA 95336.  A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Jan. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 12455 E. West Ripon Rd. Ripon, CA.
