Frances was born November 16, 1933, in Tulsa, OK.  She moved to California when she was 5 years old settling in El Centro and eventually making her home in Lathrop along with her nine brothers and sisters.
   She was a very hard working and talented young lady.  She blessed us with her poetry and singing at county fairs and jam sessions since she was sixteen.
   She was also an awesome cook so she spent many years working at a little place called Mattie’s Bar and Grill.  She also worked in Ripon at Bethany Home and Beth Haven cooking for the residents. She also made cream puffs for the Almond Blossom Parade each year.
   She was preceded in death by her grand daughter Tevanie Deanne Lantz and her husband Charlie Maehl, her mother Laura Walden, her brothers; Clarence, Burle and Lloyd Walden, her sisters; Delilah Dacomas, Johnnie Raye Henry, Hannah Dean Dick, Christine Stevens.
   She is survived by her daughters; Marcia Marleau, Patty McLaughlin, Karon Reep, Roberta Roberts, Joyce Casper, Laurie Linder.  Her brothers Robert Walden, and Leon Thomson, 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and five great great grand children, and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
   Services will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at Park View Cemetery Chapel, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca, CA 95336.
