Francis Philip "Bud" Chinchiolo, 88, entered into rest on Saturday, April 28, 2012 just 2 days shy of his 89th birthday. He was born April 30, 1923 and was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty years Betty Ann, parents Philip and Margaret Chinchiolo, as well as his adored son Vincent Chinchiolo, and grandson John Thomas Pereira.

He leaves behind his children, Shelley Puskar and husband Paul of Oakdale, Sandy Pereira and husband David of Escalon, Steven Chinchiolo and wife Allison of Ripon and Jill Machado of Ripon. His grandchildren are Kim Pereira-Graham, Derrick Machado, Adam Chinchiolo, Dustin Puskar, Alex Chinchiolo, Ashley Puskar, Daniel Machado, Andrea Chinchiolo and six great grandchildren, also his three siblings, sisters Sally Lewis, Gloria Schenone and brother Robert Chinchiolo.

Francis known to his family and friends as "Bud" was a fruit and nut farmer, packer, and shipper in the San Joaquin Valley for the past 75 Years. He graduated from the University of the Pacific where he exceled in basketball and baseball. When it came to any kind of sport he knew everything there was to know about any player and their history. He loved golf, and in his down time you could always find him with his many friends at the golf course. Bud was a veteran serving his country proudly as a United States Marine. Bud also served as a trustee and past president of the Ripon Unified School District. He had a passion for farming, packing, and shipping many seasonal crops, cherries, apples, grapes, peaches, nectarines, and almonds. Bud was a generous and humble man. He had great faith in God, and will be remembered for his loving personality, being a loyal friend to many, and a mentor to his children. He was truly the best and will be greatly missed.

Services for Francis Bud Chinchiolo are under the direction of PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A Rosary/Mass will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 9:30am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 19399 E. Hwy 120, Ripon. He will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon.
