Fred G. Cortez, 49, entered into rest on June 5, 2009 in Manteca. He was born on January 16, 1960 in the Philippines Islands to the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman & Virginia Cortez. He was a resident of Manteca for 8 years.

Mr. Cortez is survived by his beloved family; siblings: Tony Cortez and wife Kathy of Mt. House, Terri Martinez and husband Jeff of Manteca, Aurora Cortez-Keely and husband Tim of Milpitas, and Janet Cortez of San Jose. He was an amazing uncle to 2 nephews and 2 nieces: Brandon, Jefferey, Sierra and Chloe.

Fred loved the outdoors and being with family meant the world to him. He was dearly loved and will forever be in our hearts.  

Mr. Cortez’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be held at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca on June 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. immediately following the visitation. A Prayer service will be at 1 p.m. also at P.L. Fry & Son. Final resting place will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery 17871 S. Carrolton Rd. Escalon.
