George Alan Vasconcellos, age 92, returned to his heavenly home on December 16, 2016 after a short illness.  He was a resident of Manteca for most of his life until moving to Sierra Vista, AZ to live with his son.  He was born October 14, 1924 in Houston, CA to Marion and Victoria Vasconcellos. In 1931 the family moved to Manteca.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Louis Vasconcellos, Ernest Vasconcellos and sister Alice Bautistia.
   He is survived by his wife of 65 years Jeannie Vasconcellos and his children, Michael, Jeff, Vicki (Leonard) Joaquin, David (Jennifer) Vasconcellos and Cynthia (Roger) Knauss.  Also his sister Bernice Hicks. George and Jeannie were blessed with five grand children, Victoria (Chris) Sorrentino, Tim (Kinley) Vasconcellos, Jenna Joaquin, Tiffany (Jake) Otrowidzki, and Sarah Knauss.
   He will be remembered as a person that showed his love through acts of service and devotion to his family and friends.
   Services were held in Sierra Vista, AZ on January 4, 2017.  Private burial was held at Park View Cemetery, in
French Camp, CA.
