   Harold Griffith, 85, entered into rest on March 9, 2015. He was born September 9, 1929 a native of South Dakota.
   He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary, two daughters, Vicki Griffith-Gardner (Steve), Lisa Strong (Myron), five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his son Greg and three brothers Herb, Curt, and Bill.
   Harold was a Korean War Veteran serving his country through the US Army. After his service in Korea he moved to Rapid City, SD to attend Business College while working as an office manager for Dakota Lime and Brick. He moved his family to Tracy, CA to work in the Western Auto store. Later they moved to Manteca where they owned and operated Western Auto store for 16 years. After selling the store he obtained his real estate license and continued in that profession until he retired. He was very civic minded and was active at United Lutheran Church where he served as President of the Church Council as well as, council member for many years. He was active in the Chamber of Commerce during the years he owned Western Auto. He was also a member of the CA Realtors Association and was President of the Manteca Board of Realtors. After retirement he volunteered with Manteca SHARPS for nine years. He was an outgoing man who never met a stranger.
    Harold loved being with his family and friends. They have wonderful memories of boating and camping, playing cards and other shared activities.

Remembrances can be sent to the memorial fund United Lutheran Church or toward a memorial stone that will be placed at Veterans Park in Sioux Falls, SD. A memorial service is planned at 1:00 p.m., March 28, 2015 at United Lutheran Church.
