Hazel Angela Vierra, 91, entered peacefully into rest on February 1, 2017 in Manteca. She was born on December 3, 1925 in Stockton, California.
   In heaven she joins many family members as well as her loving husband of 57 years, Peter Vierra.
   She was predeceased by her brother Fred Bacigalupi and is survived by brother-in-law Edward Vierra and sister-in-law Winifred Bacigalupi; her nieces Connie Brimm and husband Steve of Modesto and Laurie Hendrix and husband Mick also of Modesto.
   Hazel was a life-long San Joaquin County resident. She and her husband farmed in Linden from 1947 until 1993 when they retired from farming and moved to Manteca.  In addition to farming, Hazel was employed by Sears for 27 years and retired as supervising book keeper. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and looked forward to Sister Ann’s dinners. She enjoyed parties where good wine and spirits flowed.  She will be remembered for her strong opinions, precise record keeping, fun loving spirit and her beautiful smile. She will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve Hazel’s family.  A prayer service will be held in her honor on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00  a.m. at P.L. Fry and Son, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.
