Hector Lopez Obit Pic BW

Hector Martinez Lopez, 88, entered into rest January 31, 2015 in Manteca, CA. He was born March 12, 1926 in Pinole, CA.
Hector is survived by his wife Maria Guadalupe (Lupe) and their eight children, Hector Lopez Jr., Victor Lopez, Ruben Lopez, Olimpia Carpenter, Raul Lopez, Jesus Lopez, Amparo Odom, and Steve Lopez. He was blessed with 17 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.  In addition, he has five brothers and two sisters.
Hector first met Lupe in Juarez, Mexico at an apartment complex his family managed. They would fall in love and celebrate over 61 years of marriage together. They later moved to Manteca where they have been for over 30 years. Hector was a devoted Catholic attending mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca where he was a member. He enjoyed gardening and traveling to Santa Cruz and Mexico visiting friends and family. Among all of Hector’s attributes, his family was most important; he loved them unconditionally. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
