Jean Potter Benge, born April 1,1924, in Ripon, California, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2014.
   Jean, as a young child, moved to Stockton and lived there most of her life.  She was a graduate of Stockton High School and received an AA Business degree from Stockton College. She worked briefly for Holly Sugar in Tracy before becoming a homemaker in 1946. In 2007, she moved to Manteca, where she resided until her passing.
   She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Preston Lee Benge, her parents, Fredrick K. and Ethyle O. Potter, and her sister, Joan Potter.
   She is survived by her brother, Seth J. Potter (Ellen) of Monterey, son Bruce Benge (Judy) of Dallas, Georgia, daughters Cathy Forsthye (Gene) of Canby, Oregon, Judith McCurry of Stockton, California, and Nancy Calestini (Anthony) of Manteca, California.  She leaves 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
   Services will be held February 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Park View Funeral Home, Manteca, California.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin County or to a favorite charity of your choice.
