Larry entered into rest on January 18, 2017 in Manteca, CA after a battle with cancer. Larry was born in Oakland, CA. Larry graduated from University of CA with honors in Forestry.  Larry retired from the U.S. Forest Service.
   He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Victor Larson, son Eric Larson, daughter Brenda Mack and granddaughter Jessica Eiras.
   Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn; his brother David (Peggy), sister Vicki Hogan (Art), his daughters Zoe Ann Liggett (David), Pauline Eiras (George), son-in-law Lou Mack, his seven grandchildren Brandon Liggett (Shelly), Joshua Liggett (Tabatha), Bryan Mack, William Mack (Jessi), Michael Eiras (Stephanie), Amanda Winter (Jason), Joe Eiras (Aubry), his seven great grandchildren Julie, Megan, Rachael Liggett, Adalyn Liggett, Easton and Lucas Mack, and Kameron Winter.
   Larry was a member of the Arnold Sirs, Arnold Lions, Narfe, Calaveras Big Trees Association, and served six years on Blue Lake Springs Mutual Water Company Board of Directors.
   Larry enjoyed golf, reading, traveling, computers and singing.  He enjoyed leading groups thru the NorthGrove at Big Trees State Park.  He was kind, gentle and had a passion for knowledge.  Larry loved family trips and watching his great grandchildren. Larry’s presence was calming and inviting and always made others feel safe and loved.  We will deeply miss Larry, but will always hold him and our memories of him in our hearts.  We love you, rest in peace.
   A celebration of life at a later date.
