Leona M. Smith entered into rest on February 17, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 18, 1926 in Westwood CA. She joins her husband Ralph, son Earnest, and granddaughter Rebecca Anne Leister in heaven. Leona is survived by her son Ralph L (Pearl) Smith, daughter Sallie J (Donald) Leister and Brother, William Potorf. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
  Leona grew up in Westwood CA; she would later meet Ralph while he was serving his country in the United States Marine Corps in Herlong CA. They married in 1946 and moved to Manteca where they lived for over 40 years until Ralph’s passing in 2003. Leona was a member of Crossroads church as well as New Life Fellowship in Meriden CT. Leona enjoyed crocheting;  as baby blankets ready to go at a moment’s notice with a birth of a new baby. Leona was a very loving, kind and generous person. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Although, she always did things her way, her family was most important, she loved them unconditionally.
