Louise M. Maxwell, 89, entered into rest on what would have been her 69th wedding anniversary on April 3, 2012 in Modesto. She is now dancing in the presence of the Lord in heaven with her late husband of 35 years, Quenton Maxwell. She was born on April 24, 1922 in Mississippi. She was a resident of Manteca for 24 years.

Louise is survived by her children, Michael Maxwell of Alturas CA, Kay Maxwell of Manteca, and Beth Maxwell-Lyons of Incline Village NV. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Angela Robles and David Maxwell, and three great grandchildren, Grace Robles, Cameron Robles and Leighton Robles.

Louise was a homemaker, she enjoyed caring for her family, gardening, cooking, sewing, reading and collecting owls. She was an active member of the Farmington UMC for 35 years and taught Sunday School and volunteered as a 4H leader. She was an active member of St. Paul's UMC and involved in the church's Nearly New Store and was honored with the Missions Award from the United Methodist Women. Louise was involved with the retired Teamsters, serving as secretary. She enjoyed traveling. Her travels took her to Europe, Canada, and all across America. She loved being with her cat Taffy. Louise will be remembered as a giving, loving person with a beautiful smile by all who knew and loved her. She will be missed.

Services for Louise M. Maxwell have been entrusted to PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. Graveside service will be held on Monday, April 9, 3:00 p.m. at Farmington Cemetery.
