Norma Silagi of Manteca died on Monday, February 8, after 84 years of vibrant, happy life. Norma was a native of Roanoke VA. She moved with her family from San Jose in 1970, and lived in Manteca for 38 years.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Randall Silagi of San Diego, Greg Silagi of San Jose, and Jeff Silagi of Modesto; three grandchildren, and her brother Presley McCoy of Lincoln, CA.

As a young woman she moved to Louisville, KY, to work assembling airplanes for World War II. After the war she met and married her husband of 61 years. Everyone who met her loved her and her sparkly blue eyes. Norma was constantly helping others. Volunteering at local agencies or just helping out neighbors and friends, she was always there to lend a hand. She loved her extended family and hosted many holiday gatherings.

There will be a remembrance from 1 to 5 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 13.  On line guest book available at www.deeganfuneralchapels.com.
