Panula Papadogiannis, 93, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009, in Manteca.

She was born April 5, 1916 in Kamenitsa, Greece. She came to the United States from Greece in 1960, and has resided in Manteca for over 40 years. She leaves behind her beloved husband of over 66 years, Fotios Papadogiannis of Manteca; and daughters Wilma Papadogiannis of Manteca, Fay Eng of San Jose, and Dimetra Papadogiannis of Manteca. She was also blessed with a grandson, Alexander Eng of Los Angeles.

Panula was a caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and bake and was extraordinarily talented at both. She also found great enjoyment spending time in her yard and garden.

Panula will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Fleming, son-in-law Cliff Eng, and by her three brothers Michael, Tryphon, and George Karpouzos.

Mrs. Papadogiannis’ services are being held under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Trisagion (vigil) service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009, 6 p.m. at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, 920 West March Lane, Stockton. Funeral Services will follow on Friday, May 22, 2009, 11 a.m. at St. Basil Church. Final resting place will be at Park View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances can be sent to Philoptochos Society of St. Basil’s Church, 920 West March Lane, Stockton, CA 95207.
