Richard Franklin Pawloski, 78, entered into rest on June 25, 2009 in Manteca, California. He was born on September 20, 1930 in Erickson, Nebraska.

He joins his parents in heaven Mr. and Mrs. Franklin and Francis Pawloski, as well as his siblings; Donald Pawloski, Jackie Sedwick, Alyce Desmond, Dolores Caskey, Raymond Pawloski, Alberta Sather, Gerald Pawloski, Baby Pawloski and Franklin Pawloski.

Mr. Pawloski is survived by his wife of 51 years LaVonne Pawloski of Manteca. His children are; Kim Texeira and husband Keith of Manteca, Jeff Pawloski and wife Suzy of Livermore, Nick Pawloski and wife Denise of Manteca and Greg Pawloski and wife Julie of  Oakley. He was blessed by 9 grandchildren;  Curtis Texeira of Ripon, Eric Texeira of Manteca, Joe Pawloski of Livermore, Jacob Pawloski of Livermore, Sarah Pawloski of Livermore, Brian Scialabba of Arizona , Dearriona Pawloski of Manteca, Stephanie Pawloski of Manteca, and Matthew Pawloski of Oakley. In addition he has one very special great-grandchild; Kyrianna Scialabba.

Richard was a veteran of the United Sates Air Force Reserves. He was employed for over 30 years at E.J. Gallo wine as a salesman. He was a member of the Catholic Church serving at St. Charles in Livermore and St. Bede’s in Hayward. He was an avid Horse Shoe player and a member of The Tri Valley Horse Shoe Club. He enjoyed a great game of bowling and if anyone was up to the challenge he would enjoyably beat you at a game of Pinochle. Richard truly was blessed by his wife, children and grandchildren, he cherished every moment he spent with each and every one of them. Richard’s personality is very fun loving; he commonly played practical jokes on family members, friends, and hospital staff. He loved laughing and always lived life on the positive side. He was a beautiful man who was caring, compassionate and witty all at the same time. He will be deeply missed.

Mr. Pawloski’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, from 2 to 7 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road. Manteca. Following the visitation a Rosary/Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. also at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A Mass will be on Tuesday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Highway 120 Ripon. His final resting place will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
