Verna Fay Lowder, passed on peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Verna was born on February 16, 1930, in Ashland, Nebraska, to Cora and Roy. She lived in San Jose most of her adult life where she and her husband, Phil Lowder, owned and operated Piedmont Vacuum Center for 22 years. Verna and Phil moved to Manteca after retiring in 1995.
Verna was preceded in death by her loving husband Phil Lowder, her son Tom Lowder, her grandson Chance Rose, and son-in-law Jimmy Lingo.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Lingo of Iowa, Karen Stephens of Milpitas, and Pepsi Harrop of Manteca, her son-in-law Jim Stephens of Modesto, her daughter-in-law Kathy Lowder of San Jose, her sister LaVaughn Hanson of Nebraska, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family very much.
Services will be held at
1 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca. Burial at East Union Cemetery, 1035 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA.
