It’s going to be all about tomatoes at The Greenery Nursery and Garden Shop (742 E. Olive Ave., Turlock) on Saturday, July 25. At first, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. they will have a free tomato tasting where you get to taste several varieties of locally grown tomatoes. Which one is going to be your favorite? Remember the name, because you will need it when Adria, the Greenery’s Certified Preserving Expert, will talk about preserving tomatoes. She will discuss correct preserving techniques for dehydrating, canning and freezing tomatoes and tons of uses for your finished home-made products. The fun seminar starts at 9:30 a.m.

Expecting a baby or someone near and dear to you is expecting their own bundle of joy? Then you should definitely attend this Infant essentials class, held at Simply Irresistible Children’s Boutique (297 Commerce Avenue, Manteca) in the Target Shopping Center on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You will learn basic breastfeeding skills, how to start good sleep habits right away and also some fun activities to do with your newborn, because it’s never too early to have fun with your babies! Your teacher will be Heather Groves, midwife and educator and Mattie Irigo, consultant and educatoe with SweetPeazzz Sleep Coaching. This class is great for expectant mommies, mommies of babies’ ages 0-3 months and their families.
