Appreciative of support with the loss of Jowell

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
On behalf of our entire family, we would like to thank everyone for their sympathy, support and encouragement regarding the recent passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend - Jowell Griggs.

Special thanks go out to: Teri Poletti at the Manteca Bulletin, Rose Craighead and the members of the Shasta Community Club, Charla Carpenter-Ortiz at P.L. Fry & Son, Joe Kelley at Kelley Brothers, Greg Leland, Chuck, Crutchfield, Stacey Ferguson, Matt Vaughn and Rose Albano-Risso.

Jowell was very proud to be a near lifelong resident of Manteca and spent a great deal of time and effort trying to give back and make better the community that was so dear to her heart. The overwhelming outpouring of food, support, love and understanding from this community warms our hearts and I’m sure somewhere has put a smile on Jowell’s face.

To paraphrase a famous eulogy - perhaps the best thing to be said about Jowell is that she need not be enlarged in death because her star shone so brightly while she lived. Her outlook and essence are summed up by two axioms: 1.) Spend your time on organizations, people and causes that you are passionate about, as that will greatly increase your chances of longevity and success. 2.) Be passionate about that in life which you are responsible for or must do, for those are the seeds of your destiny and the foundation of your legacy on earth.

Thank you all, very much.
Sincerely,
The Griggs Family
