For years our roads and bridges have been ignored in Sacramento, better known as kicking the can down the road.
Suddenly a huge tax and fee are being proposed to address the problem which most people probably agree needs to be addressed.
Being old and not born yesterday, I cannot help but wonder: is this proposal in fact a political bait and switch idea to help fund the high speed rail project that is far more popular to the average taxpayer?
Politicians do have a way of bending information to the public.
It’s just a thought.
