Reaction to grand juries makes no sense to Ripon man

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

As I sit here and watch the news day after day on the Michael Brown-Eric Garner Protests I can’t help but feel sorry for the fools that feel they were wronged by the legal system.

In both cases grand juries were given evidence, witness statements and forensic evidence as to what happened. In both cases members of the jury, both black and white, determined that both police officers did nothing wrong!! They followed prescribed procedures.

Where these people are wrong is they are protesting the wrong issue. Since Trayvon Martin was killed by George Zimmerman in self-defense there have been over 12,000 young black men killed in violent situations by other black men! Where is the protest, where is the outcry from the black community?? Where is Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, I won’t call either one reverend because there is not a church of God that would anoint them with that title because of their actions!

The black community needs to ask why they are not going after the gang-bangers and thugs that killed 12,000 young men over the last 1 1/2 years?

If they are going to protest, protest over something that will do some good. Also if you’re going to riot why destroy businesses that operate in your community? Drive out those people that are trying to make good where you live. Makes sense!
