Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
I have to respond to the unsettling lies Larry Baca put into his letter telling Christians to just chill and that nobody is trying to take Christmas away.
That is just untrue.
I appreciated Frank Aquila’s letter pointing out the attack against Christmas and Christians in his letter. For whatever reason, Baca thinks he can attack every conservative that writes a letter and mock their character. I noticed in part of Baca’s letter, he wrote 600 BCE in reference to Babylon. Just the reference of BCE is an attack against Christianity. It has been well known that BC stood for “Before Christ” as the way to reference our years in our calendar. Today, those that are atheists want to remove Christ and they use BCE as a reference of “Before Common Era” to be sneaky about removing Christ.
Baca has proven in his own writing that he wants to remove Christ making the point Aquila wrote in his letter valid. Those that hate Christians want to remove “Merry Christmas” and replace it with something else. That includes recognizing our years as BC or changing the calendar year reference to BCE.
Baca you have been caught. Therefore, I will not “just chill” as you would like. My intent of this letter was to expose you as the hater you are of Christ and Christianity. You can have Christmas whatever way you may see fit; but don’t remove Christ.
